Quantum Algorithms Scientist (Remote – USA)

An innovative and well-funded technology company at the forefront of quantum computing is seeking a Quantum Algorithms Scientist to join its growing research team. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States who are passionate about advancing the practical application of quantum technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, benchmark, and analyse quantum algorithms for near-term and fault-tolerant quantum computing systems.

  • Lead quantum resource estimation studies, including assessments of logical and physical qubit requirements, runtime, and error correction overheads.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate algorithmic performance and scalability.

  • Contribute to research publications, technical reports, and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Identify opportunities to optimise quantum workflows and computational strategies.

  • Stay current with developments in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware architectures.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantum Information Science, or a related field.

  • Strong expertise in quantum algorithms and quantum computing theory.

  • Demonstrated experience performing quantum resource estimation for complex computational problems.

  • Proficiency with quantum software development tools and simulation frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Publications in leading quantum computing journals or conferences.

  • Experience working within industry or applied quantum research environments.
