Quantum Design Team Lead – Barcelona
Full-time | Hybrid
IntaQuantum is recruiting for a client seeking a Quantum Design Team Lead to lead the design and simulation of superconducting quantum processors.
You’ll combine team leadership with hands-on work across processor architecture, simulation and fabrication layouts.
Responsibilities

Design processor architectures, run finite-element simulations and prepare layouts for fabrication.

Manage team development, onboarding, training and performance.

Plan capacity, coordinate delivery and remove blockers.

Balance product and R&D priorities with the Product Owner and Tech Lead.

Define workflows and documentation standards.

Coordinate with fabrication and characterisation teams, reporting progress and risks.
Requirements

PhD in Physics or a related field, focused on superconducting qubits.

Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a technical team.

Finite-element simulation experience for quantum device modelling.

Programming experience in Python or another relevant language.

Strong communication, documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with flux qubits, fluxoniums, microwave engineering or agile backlog management in R&D would be advantageous.
