Quantum Software Engineer

A fast-growing deep-tech platform operating at the forefront of quantum computing is seeking a Quantum Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of developer tools and infrastructure for the quantum ecosystem.

The Role

As a key member of a highly skilled team, you will bridge cutting-edge quantum research and practical software engineering, helping to create tools, reference implementations, and technical content used by a growing global community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain quantum algorithms, tutorials, and technical workspaces.
  • Develop reference implementations across leading quantum computing frameworks.
  • Validate integrations with quantum hardware and simulators from multiple providers.
  • Review technical contributions and support an active developer community.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial teams to provide quantum expertise and technical insight.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and educational content within the quantum computing space.

About You

  • PhD in Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, Physics, or a closely related field, or equivalent commercial research experience.
  • Strong experience with at least two quantum frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or TKET.
  • Excellent Python development skills with experience delivering production-quality software.
  • Deep understanding of quantum circuits, compilation, simulation, execution, and error mitigation.
  • Knowledge of the current quantum hardware landscape and provider ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
