We're partnering with an innovative deep-tech company at the forefront of quantum technology to recruit a Business Development Manager focused on driving new business growth across America.

This is a true hunter role, ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, building strategic relationships, and winning complex technical sales opportunities. You'll work with leading universities, research institutions, national laboratories, and commercial organisations developing next-generation technologies.

This is a fully remote position with travel across America as required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition and exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
  • Build relationships with technical and executive stakeholders
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Lead responses to RFPs, tenders, and complex procurement processes
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM records
  • Provide market insight and customer feedback to support business growth

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years' experience in B2B technical sales
  • Proven success winning new business and growing territories
  • Experience selling complex hardware solutions into technical or scientific environments
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable engaging with engineers, scientists, and researchers
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout America

This is a hardware-focused sales opportunity. Candidates whose experience is primarily in SaaS, enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity, IT services, or consulting without significant hardware sales experience are unlikely to be a match.
