IntaQuantum is recruiting for a quantum computing company developing photonic systems for machine learning, generative AI and complex optimisation. This role will lead its integrated photonics team and shape the roadmap for ultra-low loss platforms.
Your responsibilities:

Define and drive the photonics roadmap.

Manage, mentor and grow engineers across design, fabrication and testing.

Provide technical leadership throughout the PIC development lifecycle.

Align design, fabrication and characterisation with company goals and timelines.

Set priorities, schedules and resources, balancing delivery with longer-term development.

Identify risks and represent the function to leadership, investors and external partners.
Your experience:

Extensive industry experience in photonic integrated circuit design, fabrication and testing.

Technical leadership and people management.

Experience in design, layout, fabrication, characterisation and packaging.

Proven ability to build and scale technical teams.

Communication skills across geographically distributed teams.

Based in Austin, with flexibility for hybrid working.
Desirable:

PhD in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related subject.

Silicon Nitride photonic platform experience.

Quantum photonics or quantum optics background.

Experience managing distributed or multisite engineering teams.
