We are working exclusively with a fast-growing quantum computing company in central London. Their systems are already running with customers in data centres around the world, and they need someone to own their developer software: the SDK, APIs, libraries and integrations that researchers and companies use to build hybrid quantum-classical applications.
The role
- Own the SDK roadmap, manage the codebase and coordinate new features
- Lead integrations with tools such as NVIDIA CUDA-Q, PyTorch and JAX
- Write the documentation, tutorials and examples that help users get going
- Support customers with escalations and root-cause analysis
- Build software demonstrations for commercial and pre-sales conversations
You’ll bring
- Extensive experience building and maintaining production software libraries, SDKs or developer tools
- Excellent Python, with modern practice: testing, CI/CD, packaging and code review
- End-to-end ownership of a codebase with multiple contributors
- Clear documentation and the ability to work directly with users
- A master’s or PhD in physics, computer science or similar, or equivalent experience
Nice to have: GPU/HPC experience (CUDA, accelerated simulation), quantum frameworks (Qiskit, PennyLane, CUDA-Q), open source maintainership and community building, or AI/ML integration. Quantum experience is a plus, not a requirement, but you’ll need a genuine interest in it.
Working pattern: Four days a week in the central London office.
